Castle still strong 1/12/2010 5:01:48 PM
TV's best Last night I watched the latest episode of "Castle" and I'm just as delighted with this series as I was when I saw the first episode!
Santa brought me the portable DVD player I wished for, so guess what I'll be doing once it gets warm enough to sit outside at night: yes, I'll be watching all those episodes I haven't yet seen...yay! :)
Good thing it is still winter because I have to get cracking with my catch up schemes.
Meanwhile, I am still impressed by the author who writes Castle...his name is Terence Paul Winter and man! he is some thirty years younger than I! (insert a boohoo here, because..this is my first and only and last fit of envy...never was the envious type)...
Terence has the psychological development of his characters right - that's often not the case with any writing -- but the sassy, irreverent Castle of the beginning has become more sober as one would who deals with murders and sad fate so regularly... I found myself hoping that Castle's quirky side still shows up frequently enough because that makes him so irresistable and charming...
As for his counterpart, the female police detective, she has become more 'real' over time...I like her a lot as well. It'll be interesting to watch the growing attraction between these two adults even while the conflict must be maintained. Well, it must or we don't go into Season # 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8!!!

P.S.: now we are in Season 3 of Castle - December '10 - and I have long since noticed that many different writers work on 'Castle'...this series has undergone many changes regarding producers and writers et al..thank goodness the actor team remained intact.
