I should heed my own advice...
don't write at night. I am unusually drawn to the practice however. Those who read my drivel, and there are precious few, know that I tend to shun the light in my ministrations. Could that be that I seem to find myself typing well after the sun has gone down and the moon is fat with tidal promise? Methinks. And therein lies the rub. I do my thinking (constantly - ad infinitum if one must know) in large thick gobbets and most lucidly (though some would argue) at night.
It's not that I can't get it going during the day, it's just that I can't seem to keep a rhythm. The day pulses in a staccato that I just don't seem to be able to dance to. I get along easily enough, but I have to find some noise reducers to get any real cognation accomplished.
Why am I screaming these things into the electronic aether? You tell me. Ahhh, but that's the trick, eh? You won't tell me. I have to muddle around myself wondering if the mess I made on the rug is going to go unnoticed yet again, be considered art or taken for the dung that I suspect it is.
Oh well, to quote my mother: "Whatever"
I'll keep running it up the flagpole and wondering if I fall in the words (not woods), would anybody hear me?
