it's easier to get upset, shout to the world your rage, than think about peaceful ways to deal with it. i was counseling one of my kids today and she is like on the edge of doing something that may get her in real trouble, but i only offered options and let her choose her fate. the hard part about my job is letting kids fail fast. but it's like a tough love type of thing. You can't stop them from making mistakes just like my momma had to let me learn about life instead of telling me how to live a perfect one.
it's all good though. at least my kid said she'd try one of my suggestions. it's a battle but somebody's gotta do it.
