It's All My Mother's Fault 3/29/2006 5:37:17 PM
I'm about to get on a plane and fly to Virginia to visit my daughter. My mother is going with me (my dad, too, but that's not part of this) and at the other end, in Virginia with her mother, is my granddaughter (also, my grandson and son-in-law, but like Dad, not important here). Four generations of females sharing a loving/ambivalent relationship. None of us would ever say to our mothers that we blame our faults on them, in fact, we are extremely careful to protect our precious Moms from such a dreadful thought. But...surely...somewhere deep in our most secret hearts...we must want someone to blame...and it's certainly not going to be Daddy.
