Just a quick note.

I've been housebound for the last week, working diligently on revising book two (BLUFF). It's still got a long way to go.

Felt the need to emerge from my self-imposed hermitage today... and I'm glad I did something about it.

Had a great experience in the checkout line at Safeway: The woman behind me looked friendly, so I handed her one of my bookmarks and told her, "This is your next book." She seemed genuinely enthusiastic about meeting the author and buying the book.

I love it when that happens. It's a rebuke to all the shy times when I've held back from reaching out to someone.

Writing is about connecting. So is "marketing" what you've written. I'm getting the urge to complete that circuit more often.
