I REALLY WANT TO KNOW 7/25/2006 8:19:17 AM
What is life? I always wanted to learn about life, so I studied science. However, I very soon realised that science is going to teach me a lot about physical reality, but nothing about life. Economics again taught me a lot about social reality, but what about the real questions of life – nothing!
Therefore, I looked at religion and theology. This also was a terrible shock. I very soon realise that in religion there is a lot of dogma, self-interest, and even raw hate – but very, very little love.
Where could I find answers and possibly bridge the divide between science and religion. I instinctively knew that both camps had some answers and more answers will be forthcoming in the wide gaps that existed between these two groups.
I then realised that possibly the answers were inside me, not somewhere else. I had to start and try to find the truth inside me, but that is much easier said than done. I soon realised though that meditation and writing down what I think was a great help in letting me see some of the great truths of reality.
What are spirit, soul, mind, and consciousness? What is the meaning of my life? What will happen when I die? Where do I come from and who am I? How did life originated and what are we, humans? Are we but mere relations of monkeys? Are we animals?
When I studied science and religion, I received strange and conflicting answers to these important questions. Laughable answers really. Scientists who know nothing about the afterlife, human origins, the spirit, nevertheless were quite happy to supply very bizarre answers Religious leaders tried to convince me that they at least had I direct link to the Creator of the universe Himself! This is truly a very unsatisfying state of affairs. I will have to think for myself, but it is quite perplexing when you just start to think for yourself – a perilous endeavour.
Well, well, after everything is analysed and carefully weighed I am now at least certain that the human race had in all probability four female ancestors, namely: Lilith, Eve, a female orang-utan, and a lady gorilla. I know because I see their descendents around me everyday. Our male ancestor most probably was an extraterrestrial outlaw. Some of the things that I am not so sure about makes up the rest of my books.
