You know, it is always so nice for writers to hear from readers. I had a reader contact me the other day to say how much she enjoyed THE DEAD DETECTIVE and it left me with a warm fuzzy feeling for days—in fact, I've kept her email so I can pull it out and look at it every day for inspiration. This reader said she actually had put off reading it because she's not into the paranormal, and she was surprised by how much she enjoyed it.
That's exactly what I am hoping for- because I am not into the paranormal either. I DON'T believe in ghosts. But I find the question of what would happen if someone like me were confronted with irrefutable evidence of the paranormal to be very fascinating. That's what makes THE DEAD DETECTIVE so much fun- CJ DOESN'T believe in the paranormal, but she has to believe in Budge.
Now this would be the point when I might be expected to say something like- "And that's what life is all about—accepting that there are some things we just can't explain"—but I'm not going to say that, because I don't accept it. It's fun to write about ghosts, but I don't believe in them.
Before I sign off, I also want to let you know about a 5-heart review of The Dead Detective from Heartland Reviews. You can check it out at: http://www.heartlandreviews.com/Mysteries.html
