Here in Florida it's already summer. I need to finish my work-in-progress (which now feels like my w.i.p & chains *LOL*). But hubby just bought a Jeep Wrangler and took off the top and doors. Now I want to go riding with him. I want to ride through the Osceola National Forest on its dirt roads and find a spot for a picnic!
There is nothing like a convertible, people. Sure it tangles my hair, so I carry a hairbrush. I wear safety sun goggles to protect my contact-lens-wearing eyes. And noisy? You bet. That's why we carry bottled water and sodas. It makes you thirsty trying to shout to each other over the wind noise. Of course, the intake of liquids and the Jeep's short wheel base and off-road suspension make for an uncomfortable ride for the bladder *LOL*.
The scenes I'm now writing for ROCKY'S ROAD TO LOVE (working title) take place in January in Kentucky. I'm writing about snow on the ground and ice on the windshields. About heavy coats, thick scarves, and gloves. Brrrr! No wonder I want to be outdoors!
Have a safe and happy summer. And if you've never enjoyed a Jeep ride, go rent one. There's nothing like a Jeep.
