The War of the 'Christian' Murderers (What Else?)

The War (What Else?)
The famous & shitty wars we find ourselves (again!) mired in. But this time there's no fight to stop the "spread" of Communism or some other evil empire. This time we were not invaded as was the case of Pearl Harbor. This time we were the agressors. We are in Afghanistan (as were the Russians in the 1980s)- why? To bring order to that area? To kill off some of the members of the Taliban? But we know the Taliban isn't restricted to a particular country. Same as Muslims. They have those cells we learned about. And at what cost are we in Afghanistan? Wouldn't that money be spent better enhancing our defense capabilities and our intelligence capabilities? (intelligence as in CIA intel, but also...)
And we know why we are in Iraq. We got there to kill Saddam & his henchmen, henchwomen, henchsons, etc.- which has been carried out, thank you kindly.

Our President at the moment needs to ensure that this illegal war in Iraq is ended now, not tomorrow, not in 16 months, not in 2 years. We did not go into that country honorably, therefore, isn't it a bit difficult to exit honorably?
President Obama is in danger of joining the military-industrial complex and all their henchmen. He is in danger of giving in to the rich in our country, to the most influential (mostly Republicans), especially if he wants to serve a 2nd term and let's face it- he's probably thinking why not?
So, now all kinds of technicalities about staying over there in those 2 countries must be evaluated and pondered and tested (I presume). Anything but to say let's get out now, out of here. How can we approve decent health care laws if we are throwing away billions of dollars on foreign wars as if tomorrow were guaranteed NOT to come? You tell me.

I wanted to & would like to believe in this new President. And I will if we exit Afghanistan & Iraq in the very near future. But if we don't, I'll lose that belief & fast! The Prez will be just one more. One more continuing to add to the mess we already find ourselves mired in.
