This Writer's Diary It's now 30 days until my debut novel JANEOLOGY is released. Since my days as a debutante are numbered (and these final 30 days may prove to be the busiest and most exciting) I thought I would journal my progress head-long into the process. Here goes.

Drank two cups of coffee

Queried two blog sites for potential “guest blog” opportunities
Received a rejection letter for a short story submission sent months ago. Great timing, magazine editor! Way to remind an author she needs to stay hungry.
Launched scobberlotch.blogspot.com for the purposes of posting diary (and opining on anything I want, okay?) For some reason, I felt too restricted by the other TEN places I blog. And what the heck is a scobberlotch (assuming you think that’s a noun). Go there and check it out if you so desire.
More coffee
Pried stuck PlayDoh from crevices in dining table. Okay, this has nothing to do with the writer’s life. But PlayDoh plays a big role in my life, so why not? (Oh, and do you know what’s funny? Spell check wants to change PlayDoh to PlayBoy. Wouldn’t that be a funny typo.)
