"...when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, except my computer mouse.


A few author copies were stacked on the table with care,

In hopes that St. Oprah, would one day be there.

My children were nestled and snug in their beds,

While visions of royalty checks danced in their heads.


And hubby by the TV, and I by my dog,

I'd just settled down to write a new blog.


When out on the porch there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from my computer to see what was the matter.


And what to my wondering eyes should appear

But a UPS truck, the color of beer.


With a shorts-wearing driver, carrying boxes from Kunati,

I knew in a moment, they contained JANEOLOGY.


Faster than a suburban squirrel, his delivery was done.

And then he shouted to my neighbors, "Get her novel on Amazon!"


He spoke no more words, but went straight back to work

And saying "Goodnight," I knew he wasn’t a jerk.


And I shouted to hubby, which gave him a bother,

"These boxes are heavy, can you help a new author?"


Then we heard the UPS man, as he drove into the night,

"Harriet Klausner's JANEOLOGY review was out of sight!"
