When will Jesus Come?
For many years I wanted to sponsor a child from Children's International but always had a reason or two to put it off. One reason was, how do I know the money was actually getting to the child? I had no proof of what they were saying was actually true.
Now though, I am putting faith in the fact that Children's International is giving the the 80 percent they say they are giving. I really do think they are good people doing the right thing. Gods work.
Why have faith in something that could very well be a scam, in times that are harder than ever? I don't have an answer for that. I just know that If we all helped one another, there would be less suffering in the world.
What really made me make this decision was, the commercial that shows Sarah McLaughlin singing a song, "In the arms of the Angels, and it shows Canines that are in need of adoption. I love that commercial, and the dogs are so much in need too.
Well... I said if I can adopt a dog, then I can, and should adopt/sonsor a child! How do I know the money is getting to the dogs? Why is my belief in that stronger than my belief in Children's International?
Another reason was that while listening to yet another preacher, he said that Jesus will come back when we as humans, get that, we are all supposed to feed one another, then he will be back.
It goes along with what many preachers say, it actually crosses all denominations to help one another.
But suddenly while watching that commercial, it hit me, that if we did show more compassion instead of bitterness to others then Jesus will come, and there will be peace on earth.
Oh how far we have come to be the opposite of what the message of compassion is. We can say, are you kidding me? You want me to give in these times of fear, and economic upheaval? The worse possible time!
If we do not give now in these hard times then when will be the right time? It is sad to say but, that time will never come.
If you have little food, and give some to a hungry person? You are giving a side dish of compassion.
Let it be written in the book of life that we were a compassionate race, not a warring, hateful race.
Until we do this one thing-Feed the World- Jesus won't come back. Until then, he is not wasting his time to come back, and be persecuted by a race of people who have hate in their hearts, and not love and compassion, and would most likely persecute, and kill him Again!
