CAUSE WHEN I SEE YA' YOU BETER NOT BE DIPPIN' BROTHA. Although this tidbit of information about Kirk Franklin was already publically revealed he recently felt the need to share his testimony with Oprah Winfrey.
Kirk's story just wasn't really gelling with me and Oprah also seemed a bit perplexed by Kirk's delayed admission. She didn't really dig deep with her questions. I suspect that she was thinking what I was, there was another Terry McMillan situation brewing (insert photo).
I think this public admission was a compromise of some sort...I suspect that all of the porn wasn't of women as he contends. (insert link to photos from google)
Wifey is likely sticking by him a.)they must have reached some sort of amicable agreement and b.) they have four children. He also kept saying that he felt getting married would "cure" this addiction.
After doing a bit a research, I discovered that the Oprah interview was basically scripted! He gave the same interview, practically verbatim, to the 700 Club. (insert link: http://www.cbn.com/700club/guests/interviews/kirkFranklin_scottross_042004.asp) Although the church has always been a haven for damaged souls, the acceptance of behaviors that are not in accord with the scriptures is stunning.
