TRIBUTES TO: KAREN VANDERLAAN AND RANDALL BARFIELD The Blessings of a Sister (FOR KAREN)
She's one of the finest writers here with us at AD.
But she's so much more, look below and you will see.
My admiration for has grown and has soared off the charts.
For she's become one of my Heros and she's part of my heart.
No greater love you can have than a sister’s love.
For it was formed in Heaven and by God above.
A dear sister has been very ill in agony and pain.
And in her darkest, deepest hour, her sister came.
Karen was there with loving support when her sister cried.
She was there to wipe her tears as her sister’s pain intensified.
Just like our Lords Mother knelt with her son at Gethsemane.
Karen was by her sister’s side through the fear and the agony.
What a blessing this sister has in the sister God chose for her.
Karen has an abundance of love that would make a kitten purr.
God’s gifts are precious, but the blessing of a sister is among the best.
For you share your heartache and joy together, and know you've been blessed.

A Sharing Spirit (FOR RANDALL)
One of my very first friends here was a very wise man.
He greeted me with open arms, leading his own brass band.
Always extending gratitude when a special write he liked.
And he always made me aware, which made my spirits spike.
He writes amazing blogs and always lets you know where he stands.
He has tremendous values on what goes on in these great lands.
His opinion is so valuable for he reads more than anyone I know,
And he shares all of this wisdom, helping our knowledge to grow.
But that’s not all he does, he writes short stories and poetry.
They are so spectacular, and we all enjoy sharing in his glory.
He’s always very grateful for the smallest minute things.
For he is but a humble man absorbing the joy life brings.
So here’s to you Randall, to our vigilant and sharing spirit.
And thank you for being our friend for you are OUR great gift.
