Is this the place to vent all our negative thoughts? 9/29/2008 1:56:11 PM
I have read several blogs lately and just about everyone of them has been negative. What I don't understand is why do people think and write such thoughs on their blog through Author's Den? When I joined, I thought I was doing a good thing but now I am beginning to wonder why even bother. If people are so miserable, find someone to tell your troubles to, not to strangers on this web site.
Maybe I am in the wrong, but to be able to write a good story, one must have a positive attitude. Am I wrong when I say this? I love living and enjoy each day to the fullest. What is helpful is to get outside and look around to see what a beautiful place we live. God gave us a wonderful world, so why not enjoy it?
Look at the trees, just beginning to turn colors, they are absolutely beautiful. Even the birds are having a good time due to the weather getting a little cooler. Soon we won't have to cut the grass but we can rake the leaves that are red, orange, yellow, and bronze in color. It is also a good workout because all writers spend too much time in front of the computer.
School is in, and the small children, just staring out to learn, is a great thing to watch. My granddaughter has been in pre-school for two years and this year she is in kindergarten and she is having a ball learning to read and write. Have you ever watched the faces of the innocent little people? I watch them each day when I go to pick up my granddaughter, they are magical. The look in their eyes and the look on their faces tell a story of learning. This is a good time to also listen to what they have to say. They know more than we give them credit for.
I love writing and I am now working on my third book, which is a mystery. Writing helps me to stay focus on the good things in life. Being able to tell a story is a great thing because not everyone can write. This is a great outlet for all those who write each day.
Not going to say anything more now except to tell those who are so negative to get off the soap box and do something positive. I don't spend much time in Author's Den but once in awhile I like to see what is going on. I will not be back for some time because of all the negative writing.
And, one more thing, not everyone is a democrat or republican so please keep your thoughts and words to yourself because you are doing nothing but making yourself look bad. Think about it, hadn't you rather have someone read your blogs and smile rather than frown. I had.
