As a reader, what do you prefer? Hi all,
I have written such opposite books. WIDOW'S TALE, on the cold, rugged cliffs of Maine's coast, and ROGUE WAVE on the tranquil, Windward shore of Oahu.
As a reader, what do you tend to prefer? Escapism to somewhere warm and tropical? Or do you like the danger and desolation of the dark and bitter cold?
Speaking for myself, I see merits to both. I guess in writing these books, it depended on the state of mind I was in at the time. But if I'm going to be honest, sometimes reading about the cold while I stay nestled on the couch seems more attractive to me than reading about somewhere warm and beautiful. And that said, I find the rugged shore of Maine beautiful, cold or not. :)
Just curious as to everyone's view. I value the opinion of everyone at Authors Den.
