Read recently, "Almost the right word is to the right word what a lightning bug is to lightning". 'Wish I could give proper credit, but I suffer with CRS (can't remember anything). I don't even know what brought that quote to mind, but I like it... it's a keeper. I like to fish (new thought). And I like taking little kids fishing. A couple of years ago, one of my neices hooked into a ten or twelve pound carp. I grabbed her and kept her from being pulled into the stream, but it was her job to land the thing... or lose it, whichever came first. She landed it, and insisted on keeping it. "It's not good to eat," says I, "Let's put it back and wait for a trout to bite." "Nope. I caught it and I'm keepin' it. I'm gonna name it Fred." "But, honey, it'll die." "Then his name will be dead Fred." She dragged ol' Fred around for days on a leash my brother-in-law fashioned for it... until, apparently, Fred 'got loose' and was never seen again. I think my sister had something to do with that. Just ruminatin'.
