When the government eradicates mistrust, starting at the top, then and only then will the Rodney Kings and the Ferguson's disappear
Although there may be a few who use a legal and peaceful protest for vandalism or violence, a message is being sent to our three branches of government, not to mention law enforcement. This writer believes that protests like Ferguson are directly related to socioeconomic problems. Of course if you look at this in a spiritual manner, you'll perceive the devil is in the mix. When any society sees that their government is dysfunctional regarding the economy, then they cry out. Also consider Proverbs 29:16 RSV. Hence the recent government shutdown and the dire economy. This writer surely doesn't condone in any way any violence or vandalism, but it appears that segments of our society are saying, "we are not going to take it anymore." I'm referring to MISTRUST. When the government works on eradicating mistrust, starting at the top, then and only then will the Ferguson's disappear. This writer also believes that economic tyranny is a part of Ferguson, Missouri, and many other U.S. cities.
