Round and round we go. Where we stop, only He knows.
I wrote this a poem a few years ago, when it seemed that every direction I took was a closed door. My mother once told me that God is a god of free will. If we take back a problem given to Him, He’ll let go and let us have at it. If we give it to Him and back away, He can get to work and do a far better job fixing things than than we could ever hope to do.
So I gave it entirely to the Lord. Hands off, stopped thinking about it. It was HIS, no longer mine.
And the right door opened at the right time. God is amazing. If only we remembered to consult Him more often.
Peace and love,
Shelly
Journeys
One never knows
where life’s journey leads...
North or South,
East or West…
Roaming, driving,
unforeseen roads…
Circular paths
like tops spinning round;
hearts rent,
tears spilled…
Then the road becomes straight
in the midst of angst.
He holds out His hand,
points toward the light,
and with love whispers
“Welcome home”.
