Healthcare – Pre-existing Conditions 5/29/2017 11:30:30 AM
Why does Congress feel “all” Americans deserve substandard healthcare in this country when in fact they’re getting the best care?
Businesses receive tax breaks to construct businesses that could or have made hazardous compounds that contribute to environmental injustice, (health issues – asthma, etc.); run-offs into waterways and/or air and then, not disclosing fully “compounds” in products --“proprietary.” Purportedly some products have shown cancer clusters or other medical conditions that affect communities.
Don’t let me get started with women automatically having “pre-existing conditions”; isn’t this discriminatory?
A lot of “boomers” who worked and/or lived in these environmental wastelands or peripheries thereof, some have “pre-existing” conditions.
Many people work two-three jobs, receive food assistance at food pantries which stocks high caloric and sodium foodstuff. Again, you’re told by Congressional leaders that you’re at fault for your pre-existing conditions. Where is food companies culpability along with Congressional leaders for allowing high caloric/sodium foodstuff? People who work/worked in these companies, many now have pre-existing conditions; is this all their fault?
What about offices? Let’s look at News Corporation (Fox) which is currently in the news. Potential stressors could cause (hypertension, cancer, diabetes, etc.) because of biases/racism. These are all pre-existing conditions which are currently paid by employee-sponsored health plans. These plans will now be impacted by this nefarious legislation which recently passed the US House of Representatives. Again, oh yes, people did it to themselves.
I feel Congress should expend collective bi-partisan energy to repair the former “Affordable Care Act.” All Americans are entitled to the American dream – healthcare for all. This means Congress should be working with all medical and allied health professionals, and other interested associations and affected parties. Their proposed plan (Affordable Healthcare Act) shows that no one is immune from their callousness to give the “upper echelon” a tax break on the backs of the “little people.” Let’s all work this out.
As usual, it just goes to show, you can’t believe everything you hear – you absolutely must research personally before you vote. The clock can’t be turned back today, but “2018” and “2020” can be a fresh start in correct direction of “draining the swamp when you cast your vote for local, state or federal office aspirants.”
In the meantime, remember, we are the catalyst for change in this Country, and we will not be moved from demanding responsible and affordable healthcare for all in America; this is a right, not a privilege. Also, don’t feel guilty if you have pre-existing conditions.
Lastly, why should taxpayers continue to subsidize businesses that continually victimize us in all ways possible?
