Lost Motivation - Again

Not really a careers/Job hunting piece; but no category really fits . . . it is about writing however, my chosen career . . .
I'm sure I'm not the only author who's ever lost motivation for writing. It's happened to me on a few occasions and sometimes for an extended period of time.
I wish I could figure out how to get it back. Just writing something should do it, right? I open a blank page or open my one of my WIP, sit here for a while, thinking, rereading what I wrote . . . maybe editing something, or writing something . . . but in the end, I click away and do something else. Generally, something unproductive.
Once in a while, I do something to promote what I've got out there already. Wishing I had the means to do something that would really help get my stuff out in front of readers.
Maybe someday, I'll be able to do that. For now, I just need to get some more stories finished. Mostly to quiet the voices in my head. For really, who'll read them?
