The University of Tennessee Won't Investigate 6/6/2023 12:40:51 PM
UT will not investigate my complaint. Most people never heard of Lauren Bell Moffitt an Atlanta psychologist but I have.
She finished a PhD in Counseling Psychology from one of the most prestigious schools in America.
I admire her dedication. I couldn't do it.
My problem is with her dissertation subject. She wrote about being exploited by working at Hooters.
I don't give a hoot, pardon the pun, if she wants to talk about unhappy Hooters girls. I will never ever oppose freedom of speech and I love exposing exploitation but this is an outrage!!!!!!
Her dissertation has absolutely nothing to do with counseling psychology. Beside that Hooters is not the only breasteraunt.
What about Wing House or Twin Peaks or Tilted Kilt and believe it or not servers get exploited
at restaurants not modeled after Hooters and outside hospitality too.
To call this an appropriate subject for a PhD dissertation in anything let alone psychology is a bad joke.
Moffitt is not the only one to masquerade feminist crap as scholarship.
Miriam Newton Francis did her PhD dissertation about the sociological side of exploiting Hooters girls.
American University
is not as prestigious as UT but it's still a scandal.
I almost forgot Rachel E.Cook who wrote her MA thesis about exploitation of black Hooters girls for MA in Gender Studies from Georgia State University.
I have written to all three schools although Moffitts dissertation upsets me the most since she sees patients and is a so called professional.
I am not a right wing nut. I hate DeSantis with a passion.
I don't want America to end up with a Victor Orban style regime.
I just feel angry schools won't investigate an injustice.
