There is a book store here in Charlotte that is quite unique. It has been part of a shopping center that has been renovated recently and is a stalwart member of the area. It is a place to linger among the names of  new authors as well as long-time extablished authors. It gives local writers a voice which is extrememly rare these days. One can browse at length, and as you walk around, you might spot a couple of dogs meandering about. They belong to management and are merely shepherds keeping watch. 

As of this morning, two of my works, both novels, The House On Sunflower Road and The Long Night Moon can be purchased at the store. I am  scheduled for a book signing on October 22, . 2:00 pm. (Saturday).

The big surprise is that I am allowed to have my Service dog, Precious, with me. She is my Hearing Assistant dog. She is also on the back cover with me. She sits in a chair by me as I work, so indeed she is part of the process of my work. When I hit the print button and the printer starts to sound the chore of printing out what I've typed, she knows the writing time has come to an end and she jumps from her chair and heads to the door...she is a smart little girl indeed. 

I am delighted to represent the store and look forward to greeting visitors and talk about my work.
