Coming Up FOR Poetry Month
April 8 Concord -Gibson’s poetry month celebration
It's time for our annual POETRY MONTH BOOK CLUB meeting. This year we're hosting our own version of the FAVORITE POEM PROJECT. All are welcome. Everyone who wants to participate should submit a poem to us here at the store, before the meeting on Monday, April 8, at 7 PM. We'll put all those poems together into a packet and distribute them to all participants, 1-2 weeks before we meet. These can be famous poems, obscure masterpieces, even your own work. We'll have a great time discussing these poems and what they have meant to us. And we'll post them on our website as well

1913, at the International Exhibition of Modern Art, at New York's 69th Regiment Armory, the scandalous Armory Show opened. One painting in particular, by Marcel Duchamp, created a furor. The figure in the painting looked like a hooded robot, whose 20 or so successive positions in sequence made it look more mechanized than human; called "Nude Descending the Staircase," and it made him famous in America
