I was asked to write this in tribute to Serenity Lynn Figgins. She was found slain in her home March 7,2004. My deepest sympathy goes out to all her family, friends and her two motherless boys. May God bless them and keep them well.

Feel my love revealed in each sunrise that warms your day Compare the glistening of morning dew with sparkling eyes That looked lovingly upon the ones I loved so much Always remember that I'm never very far away
I will live on forever within the core of your heart and mind Look no further than my two small boys to remember me For...within them you will see all the love I had to give Never let them forget how much our lives are entwined

A beuatiful tribute to another young lost life. Our society is much too violent and it is heartbreaking to know that human life is not always the most valued thing on the earth. It's never easy to write of such things but you did a wonderful job with this one.

the pain... A wonderful heartfelt tribute........
Dee, this is a very sad and beautiful poem. Serenity's pain is over and I'm sure she's in good hands. The burden now lies on her family. I pray that they shall find comfort in your words and in the strength of God and in their memories a lasting peace.
