He never held her in the spring
Though she could make him feel it was the time
The time when swelled eyes and tears
Are lost in the rain
He kissed best in the rain
Loved more complete in the afternoone
She whispered of things he could be
Just being together was plenty enough for him
One morning he woke with salt stained cheeks
He can't remember why, He never dreams
He's educated, so he makes a guess
A crooked smile reflection undermines his truth
He rubs the salt streaks away with a middle finger
Winces from the bay window sun
Bites his tongue
Its another day
Keep smiling.....things always get better.....great writing dear man...have a wonderful and safe day..Hugsss..oh by the way I love to dance in the rain ...(sighhhhhhhhhh)....
