Rise and fall Beck and call Slick with fear + Newly born Into eternity Struggle up through The sludge Toward the light Toward the safe Writhing close Soft hiss of breath Closer- joy Toward the light The warm safe Blinding, binding Wet with tears + A scream of rapture Echo into eternity
