Wind that whispers longingly,

          mists of gray, and fallen leaves.

Moon that fades in fallen dreams,

          nothing ever what it seems.

Bluest skies have turned to black,

          brightest hope that could not last.

Sunsets sinking into night,

          reddest eyes that search for light.

Shadows on a fateful path,          

           signs that innocence can't grasp.

As if loving was forbidden,

          darkness that the heart can't live in.
