 She walks the sands eternal,

that beam with glorious light,

while her pristine outline configures,

the glorious colors of sunsets.

No promise does she give, though,

for night shall fall soon.

And the sea she commands,

turns pitch black with feverish waves,

that claw hungrily for prey.

Her bounty is no treasure, but hearts

left abandoned, in bloody shards

along vast shorelines.

Shadows, red and twisted, seem to wash

out in dim pools...

as Angeline moves on, taking all light

and life with her.

A little sad, and a little creepy, but an excellent write.

Quite a lady you are describing. Glorious words, but I fail to see a connection, a communication about her that gives her reality.

A stunning reflection of the condition of the soul. She does well to take all that light and life with her. It proffers to her like the rain and the sun, thank you for sharing such a delightful poem, I love it when I read great poetry early in the morning. Beside my cup of coffee, its perfect. Have a great day.
