Morning comes and the dew has set

While sleep still beckons dreaming minds.

A cool breeze whispers past the sill

Bringing more than air to cast its net.

Inhaled deeply, the enchantment thrives

Billowing into lungs, its course fixed.

Imagination flows through veins

And in slumbering heads it arrives.

Crisp and fuzzy images meld

As the heart quickens, pulsing deep.

Awakening with a start, the species split.

One mind returns to the night it held

The other stumbles into the dark.

A vague idea is all it has

To pen it on memory’s tool.

A blaze ignited by a spark.

Oh wondrous ways that come to mind

And writer’s block is left behind!

Wow, you Rock! Sometimes ideas are hidden inside the emotional baggage patch, as I call it, and you just need to let it flow outward instead of cutting it off at the pass. You've got it all going on here and in everything I've read to date. Keep on rockin, Mary.
