It has been said that we all be famous for 15 minutes. The person who made that observation didn't say we'd seek that fame, in some cases, it would just come to us. This is about a man who didn't seek his moment in the spotlight, but very few have deserved it more.

The old Christian farmer

smiled and praised the Lord,

he thanked the Lord

for that year's crop

as good as the Lord allowed,

And joyfully, he shared his crop

with those who weren't as blessed

in far-off lands.


Then one day,

a famine came

to one far-off land.

And all the world

cried and tried

to do what it could to help.

Some sang, some gave,

some wrote or spoke;

while the farmer went his way,

sharing his crop

with those in the land

and when the world found out

it wrote about how
