Spoken like a true humanist, allowing little room for stuff and supernatural influence. We certainly don't see much of "victory...wed to humility" in this global competitive insanity. Anyone for more Olympics?
Humility and success is rare in this society. But then i've known a share of losers that turned with a fury against winners too. Jealousy and envy is a double-edged blade which can be wielded with equal force by either side. Ah ... for the peace of understanding and acceptance.
