Softly he invites me into His garden
And offers me my unearned pardon
Purchased by him on Calvary’s tree
His willing sacrifice to set me free
Before I’d taken my life’s first breath
From the doom of eternal death.
The peace I fell in His garden fair
Washes away all worldly care
And with a joy of spirit I long to stay
In His garden with him all the day
But He says that it is the Father’s plan
That I should live my full life’s span.
He promises me that in the fullness of time
When I stand before His heavenly throne
And he will proudly claim me
As his own.
