I hope that Tony and the rest of you will forgive the lateness of this answer to his challenge, but I only found it yesterday.
FOOL that I was
I spent much of my TIME
Shrouded in a BLANKET of PRIDE
Woven by the WANT and greed
My MONEY bred
Like poison mushrooms
Among forest FERN.
Then,
By KIND chance,
Or divine intervention,
I took up RESIDENCE
In the CURIOSITY
That LIFTED me up
From AMONG those who GRAZE
on the pain and MISERY of others
Because they peer out at the world
through the WINDOWS of a dead soul
That cannot see the LIGHT that is true love.

You did an awesome job on this! This poem is filled with deep meaning! That is not an easy thing to do when you are working with a poetry challenge, but you have done it, and done it very well!!
