End of All Things

The past just whisked by,
sucked howling into the
yawning abyss of future.
Black hole tortured dreams
scream among the background hiss
of interstellar mass.
What goes around,
comes around, as
mankind makes the same mistakes,
over and over.
Light-speed electronics
don't change the fact
that we still fail
to communicate.
The end of all things
could be as simple as this:

we'll repeat ourselves --
one too many times.

Destiny beckons.
