CSI of a Heartbreak

Sometimes I wonder if
they'll find my shredded remains
in the wreckage of
our break-up.

Will they use a special light
to find echoes of my blood,
glowing eerily, tracing its
ebb and flow through the ashes?

Will they sift and gather
shards of my soul, and
will these be colorful, or
warped and blackened by the
holocost of our separation?

Will they be able to tell that
even in these shambles,
I love you still, and
I always will?
