Limping spirits
hobble past me,
wounded, crippled, sore:
bruised and battered,
painfully
crying out, "No more!"
The world seems
unmoved, uncaring,
ignoring wounded pleas.
Why this sudden
sight I'm sharing --
why bestowed on me?
Broken hearts
with burdens crushing,
running from their fears,
and empathy
within me stirring
a rivulet of tears.
Somehow my spirit
reaches out,
a gift I can't explain.
It knows the touch
needed to
alleviate the pain.
Well, you've penned another masterpiece here, Dallas. I love the words, the flow, the sentiments - if only we could tune more into our spiritual wisdom, then this world would be a very different place! Thank you also, Dallas, for commenting on my 'articles'. I think you would enjoy much of C. Howard-Johnson's and M. Ball's poetry book.
My book of poetry is being redone by me, I have a beautiful cover designed and the book will have a few more than 200 poems in it. I am going to have it printed on demand here in Canada. When it is done I will let you know when it is done and if anyo
