Given the pick of the litter my daughter had to pick you smaller than the other's prettier too a kitten much like her You grew more playful beautiful black, white and orange a calico male rare and hers high-spirited much like her We called you Tobie but it was Tobias jumping from window to my bed good morning me much like her Tobias gripping my neck chain tugging me reluctantly awake purring against my beard demanding attention much like her Now you're gone buried in the oak tree's roots watching birds you knew from kitchen windows rest in joy knowing I miss you much like her

Rog.. I simply cannot find a blending of this gentleness with the man in your bio. You pull so gently/deeply on my heart strings.. your poems distract me to the point of distraction. Are you a sensitive smartass? or are you a smart-hearted butterful? both I think. katy.
