Awesome, Almighty Creator! You are beyond my ability to comprehend ... and yet, I believe in a super intelligent source of creation, a master planner, a creative genius who set this universe into existence and motion. I believe in you ... Dearest God! My love and respect for you is beyond my ability to express and I am often assailed with feelings of inadequacy when attempting to communicate with you. I believe that you are my source of strength and supply and that somehow we are one, even though I have evolved very little and have only reached a fraction of my full potential. I am deeply concerned and afraid these days because these are such troubled times. I feel helpless and discouraged at the state of mankind’s affairs and at the devastation that we've unleashed upon our planet and each other. Hold me tight Dearest God, hold me tight!
I struggle to balance my spiritual and earthly passions. I oscillate between your spiritual vibrations and many worldly harmonies, between spiritual desires and desires of the flesh. I dance to your song of love, only to miss step moments later. I'm ashamed of my failure to appreciate, reciprocate and relish the precious gifts of life that I so callously take for granted. I'm ashamed that I've not paid enough attention to my suffering brethren of the world ... and yet, I boldly ask for your love and blessings! I yearn for your pure source of light, Dearest First Cause! Ancient of Ancient! Awesome Fire of Fire! Hold me tight, Dearest God, hold me tight!
I believe that I'm earth bound in order to evolve, to learn from life's pain, to appreciate its beauty and to fulfill known and unknown quests. So Lord, when I miss step, have compassion and read my heart, taste my sincerity, then nourish and strengthen me for my task. Please let me be ever aware of my physical and spiritual goals, so that I may indeed fulfill my destiny by becoming the best that I can. Hold me tight Dearest God, hold me tight!
Know my sincerity as I weep in adoration and in realization of the fact that I am of you and that we are forever merged in this experience of eternity. I am now flooded with feelings of inner joy and love as I become spiritually intoxicated, within a state of ecstatic wonder, consuming and being consumed in this exchange of spiritual energy. Realizing that I am one with you and all creation, I grow in inner strength and peace. Hold me tight as I lose ego consciousness and give in to your incredible, blissful, love experience. Hold me tight Dearest God, hold me tight!
