(This is an expansion of a poem I originally wrote in 2002)
There is a mystical time of evening
When day is gently fading, leaving
When the sky turns a misty muted-blue
A strange and beautiful twilight hue
There's a magical calming there abiding
Within the hour before night's arriving
It's a mystical time of sacred begetting
That influences knowing and forgetting
Just like that "other" hour and time
It can be special and sublime
There's an open door to divinity
That may lead to blissful reverie
It's a time when you may flee the physical
One when you may influence the spiritual
A time when you may plan your quest
For better circumstance and happiness
A time when you release guilt and pain
One when your fate you may proclaim
A spiritual cleansing may be given to you
During this hour of mystical blue
I love this. I wrote a poem about this time of day a couple of weeks ago. I call this time of day, "the gloaming." Nicely done, Gwen. Love and peace. Regis
Aaaaaah! Could inhabit this Blue forever, Gwen... if I could stop to appreciate it in the first place! Wish I could carry this poem before my eyes all day, like a beautiful piece of cool jazz music, to soothe and shape my mood of the moment. This is such a stilling write and invites us all to seek and find that place of inner calm. Karmic, thank you! Kate xx
Beautifully written Gwen! This brings the reader into your magical moment of twilight and that time in-between that seems so mysterious. I once wrote about the In-between spaces of time that intrigue me. Your poem is intriguing too,;-) Great work!
This poem drifts inward like twilight itself and fills the reader with a quiet sense of undreamed possibilities. Whispers an inspiration that soothes and assures.

But you sure give that mystic atmosphere one can feel.
There is something magical and mystical that lives
in the hours between day and night.
Peace be with you,
