That Which Has Never Been

Within my misty dreams
Of inner reverie
I swim the mental streams
Of pervading energy

Treading eerie shifting planes
Strange tentacles grasp for me
With dark defeating claims
Delaying my quest of destiny

Within these haunting dismal scenes
I fight the fears within my soul
Struggling to subdue my screams
And free myself of terror's hold

I see an inviting open door
A portal to brilliance from within
I enter and lo! My spirit does soar!
I'm welcomed to that which has never been!
