I'm feeling a need to clarify: This is not about relationship or receiving or choices. Its much deeper than that. I'm in a situation where there are no choices or anything there to receive. I must either accomplish this or not and am wondering if I can. Its not a question to you. It is myself I am asking.

However I appreciate the comments and am amused by the various perceptions. This is a lesson on my need to be more clear to begin with. Thank you to all of you.

There are many times we go without or forego the things we enjoy in order to give to others...we still have our needs to be met...yet, sometimes those sacrifices we make ARE enough for us...but sometimes they are not and we need remember...it is our choice we have made that makes it so.

That is a very difficult question, depending entirely on the individual relationship...I tend to think many would not even think to ask the question.. which is probably why things break down so often..Very thought provoking lines...
