Part of my great artists series. This one is about Vincent van Gogh.
Yes I do.
And it's not like I listen
with one ear
or go crazy with anxiety
because I suspect
that's what his affliction was
besides a tactile fixation
with squeezing paint from tubes
and experiencing colorful orgasms
watching paint
ooze over the canvas
and it's not like I have a brother
to share my thoughts with
because I have none
or feel the way I do right now
because under my eyes
I feel the paint and the tooth
of the canvas under my fingers
and the ruffle of black feathers
cutting through the air
with their shadows on wheat stalks
gliding under a breeze
and a torrid Crystal Meth glow
and Black Puerto Rican rum.

You've sized up Vincent very well with your references to all of his idiosyncrasies except one. I'm not sure he had crystal meth available in his time.
Inspirational poetry, written from the heart and soul. Verses that are well-suited for reading on a rainy day and that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
Thanks Ron. Well, a little poetic license doesn't hurt to update my tale.
