Hear my voice my Lord,

Give ear to my prayer.

With a joyous hymn,

I will sing your praise.

The fool says you’re blind.

I know you see me.

The wicked stumbles,

While your Word guides me.

I feel your presence.

Your Grace upholds me.

You are my armour,

My shield for battle.

Today I’m ready,

Prepared for conflict.

My sword for the fight,

Is your Holy Word.

Though they set out traps,

I leap over them.

They slander my Lord,

And choke on their words.

The Lord is my strength,

And my second wind.

The battle is won,

Victory is mine.

So rejoice my soul,

Raise a holy hymn.

Show the world whose king,

On earth and heaven.
