The world’s full of darkness and fear.
Cold are the hearts of its people.
Each day’s a challenge to stay true .
I grow weary with life’s sadness. 

While fools laugh and find amusement.
In a world that’s slowly dying.   
They seek out pleasures of the flesh.
While their souls are full of decay.

For me, I was lost like they are.
An empty broken clay vessel.
Useless and unwanted by all.
My future was written in ash.   

Only God could restore my strength.
Through Him I am made confident.
He filled my broken heart with joy.
And now guards me from temptation.

Seek God and find that he is good.
His Grace will renew your sprit.
In him you will find lasting peace.
Through his precious Son Jesus Christ.
