Tis the season. To my lovely wife Eileen.

Poem Artwork

We see the very same things

You and I

In very different ways

Like two painters who are colorblind

Having only contrasts with which to gauge

The artful strokes and dabs of life on canvas

Interpreting invisible hues that overlap within the spectrum

Colorizing a monochrome existence

Gently blending black and white into shades of gray

Transforming the dark gray of night

Into the vibrancy of a winter’s sunrise

Revealing the joy of another day to come

With the light of a color called love

We see the very same things

You and I

We see each other

As one

The joy of another day to come,
With the light of a color called love

Too bad that color can't be packaged up, and sold around the world.

Just like a master mixes his oils on the palette, I love the way you make a beautiful oneness of your very different strokes and unique perceptions, Patrick. Your vibrant love is a work of art for certain sure! May you both so continue to be blessed. xx

Don't know who's the pea or who's the pod. But one thing is certain and that is that you two get along famously and that is all that matters. Wonderful poem for your wife, Patrick.
