I have been down paths of saying goodbye, of tears and wondering why. |

Wish this was not
a final goodbye
why not stay
I hate passing this way.
Wish my mother
was not asleep
she was here
able to talk.
wish my father
had not been unwell
life is cruel
as we pass this way,
shedding the tears
for what cannot stay.
Wish I had
that faith so small
yet when I pass this way
I have nothing at all.
I hate
passing this way
been here so many times
bid kith and kin
friends and those
that I let in,
oh how I wish
I was not
passing this way again.
