TIRED SHOES

Inspired from a story of an blues singer, he told of the hundreds of miles he walked in the same shoes, and though they did get worn out, he still had them when he made his first recording at the age of 68.
*These shoes are tired* *from walking so far* *a journey of life* *from here to there.* *My days began* *may years past* *never thought that these* *shoes would last.* *Been walking for too long* *hiding from many* *travelling the long roads* *times of less* *and times of plenty.* *Now I guess its the time* *to give these shoes* *a new lease of life.* *Put some soul back in them* *some life thats been drained* *make them fit to carry me* *on the journey once again.* *Oh there tired* *that I know* *but they've still* *some distance to go* *and me and them are gonna* *take that journey* *once again.*
