There was a man with a word

one that some

had never heard,

others exclaimed it is

quite absurd!

Still that mans word

travelled far and wide

leaving shores

as well as sometimes in flight,

a word so powerful

no one could drown it out,

though some did try

with meaningless chants

it was much greater

able to reach into ones heart.

Cause things to stir

change peoples ways

speak of far better days.

That one man looks upon his word

considers the effect

on those that have heard,

then declares

travel some more

to the far distant places

to every tongue

that resides under the Sun.

When you are finished

I will know

and my word  has not failed

to return without  just cause

then to my father

I can say

the work is finished

they await your day.
