You sit in bus

ride in a train

listen to the people

talk about their day,

stops and stations

flash on past

people board

and some depart.

You try to read

a newspaper headline

but the person with it

will not understand

if you ask them

politely

could they move their hand,

its blocking out the last three words

and who has been arrested

your not quite sure.

Then its your stop

you still dont know

buzzes in your head

so you hurry on home.

its not on the news

no where mentioned

wish you had never read

that persons newspaper,

taking up all your time

trying to find out

who is inside.

Next time you take a book

and some asks you

can I have a look,

then as they do

they tell you they have read it

before they leave

just who done it.

Next time an iPhone

may be better

as you travel

one place to another.
